Our Client is a Main Contractor for Interior Fit-out, mainly doing premium f&b & casino projects.

An ABWF/Fitout Design Manager is a senior role responsible for the overall design management of a construction project's interior and finishing stages. They ensure that all architectural builder's work and final fit-out designs are coordinated, compliant, and delivered on time and within budget.

Responsibilities

• Design Coordination & Management: Lead and manage the design team, including carpentry team and drafting team. This involves overseeing the creation and review of all design documents, from shop drawings draft to as built drawings. The manager ensures all designs are integrated and coherent.

• Project Oversight: Act as the primary link between the client, design consultants, and the construction team. The manager is responsible for managing the design schedule, budget, and resources, and for tracking project progress to ensure key milestones are met.

• Technical & Quality Assurance: Review all shop drawings and material specifications to ensure they meet building codes, safety regulations, and quality standards. This role is critical for identifying and mitigating potential design issues and risks before they become costly problems during construction.

• ·       Stakeholder Communication: Serve as the main point of contact for all design-related matters, facilitating meetings, providing progress reports, and resolving design conflicts among various parties.

Requirements

• Experience in construction, with a strong focus on ABWF (Architectural Builders Work and Finishes) and fit-out projects.

• A strong understanding of design software such as AutoCAD and BIM (Building Information Modeling).

• A diploma or bachelor's degree in a relevant field like architecture, interior design, or civil engineering.

• Excellent leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills are essential. A solid understanding of financial and contractual matters is also a key requirement for this role.
