Responsibilities:

• Support monthly closing operations (create monthly closing schedules, contact relevant departments, and follow up on progress)
• Support budget planning (contact relevant departments, provide budget planning perspectives to managers and assistant managers (including setting some budget figures))
• Support CFO operations (ad hoc responses based on instructions from the CFO in Southeast Asia)
• Treasury operations (payment operations using the systems of Mizuho Bank and DBS Bank)
• Recording of treasury-related accounting entries in the accounting system (QuickBooks)
• Preparation of monthly cash flow forecasts
• Bank reconciliation operations
• General leader operations (including accounting entries)
• Fixed asset calculation operations (including accounting entries)
• AP and AR operations (including accounting entries)
• Any other ad hoc duties assigned

Requirements:

• Previous experience in a similar finance/accounting background
• Proficiency in English and Japanese language to liaise with internal and external Japanese speaking stakeholders and client
• Highly adaptable, persistent, and open to take on new challenges
