Brief Summary

• Basic up to $8000 (Subject to experience)

• AWS + VB 

• 5 Days : 8.30am-5.30pm

• Working Location @ West

Responsibilities

• Design and set up test solutions for silicon photonic chips (both passive/active devices, e.g., modulators, photodetectors, waveguides, couplers) at the wafer and chip level.

• Proficiently operate various photonic test equipment (e.g., Vector Network Analyzer - VNA, Optical Spectrum Analyzer - OSA, high-speed oscilloscope, BERT, tunable lasers, Source Measure Unit - SMU).

• Perform chip performance testing and analysis, including but not limited to key parameters such as IL, bandwidth, eye diagram, BER, PDL, and Vπ.

• Process, analyze, and interpret test data, compile detailed test reports, and perform preliminary troubleshooting and root cause analysis for test anomalies.

• Collaborate closely with design and process teams to feedback test results, participate in problem-solving discussions, and provide suggestions for chip performance enhancement and process improvement.

• Participate in the development and optimization of automated test scripts to improve testing efficiency.

Requirements:

• Master's degree or PHD in Optical Engineering, Photonics, Electronic Science and Technology, Physics, or a related field.

• Solid foundation in optics and optoelectronics, familiar with the basic working principles and manufacturing process of silicon photonic chips.

• Must have hands-on experience: Familiar with optical chip coupling, packaging, and testing processes, able to independently set up optical/electrical test benches.

• Experience with photonic device simulation software (e.g., Lumerical, COMSOL, RSoft) is a strong plus.

• Strong data analysis skills. Proficiency in using MATLAB, Python, or LabVIEW for data processing and instrument control is highly preferred.

• Experience with tape-out or familiarity with PDK is an advantage.

• Excellent communication skills, team spirit, rigorous and meticulous work attitude, and strong problem-solving abilities.
