You will play a key strategic role in policy development, financial management and partnership building within SingHealth's research ecosystem. Working at the forefront of healthcare transformation through AI and data science, you will drive policy harmonisation efforts and contribute to shaping research governance frameworks that enable responsible innovation while maintaining agility in this rapidly evolving field.
With an analytical mindset and clear understanding of long and short-term objectives, you will manage the department's financial and procurement processes, ensuring optimal resource allocation and cost effectiveness. You will develop annual operational plans aligned with our vision of leveraging advanced analytics and AI to improve patient outcomes, whilst maintaining strict compliance with corporate guidelines.
You will actively represent SingHealth in national-level policy discussions on data science innovation, AI implementation, and population-level research, contributing to policy development that impacts the broader healthcare research landscape. You will manage strategic partnerships with our local academic partners and leading global academic medical centres, universities, multinational companies, and innovative startups, fostering collaboration and aligning efforts with institutional and national health priorities. As part of Singapore's vibrant research ecosystem, you will help strengthen our connections within leading global academic networks and innovation hubs.
You will be responsible for leading a team of Senior Executives and Executives, nurturing talent in healthcare data science and AI, and fostering their professional development within our research and innovation ecosystem.
Job Requirements
Bachelor's Degree preferably in healthcare, computing, or a STEM-related discipline
At least 6-8 years of relevant experience with 2 years of managerial/supervisory experience
Strong track record in budget control, policy development, and strategic partnership management
Excellent interpersonal and leadership skills with the ability to engage senior stakeholders and regulators
Strong verbal and written communication skills
A driven and independent worker who is able to manage priorities with minimal supervision
· Additional experience in the following would be an advantage:
- Healthcare data science, AI implementation, or digital health transformation
- Managing partnerships with academic medical centres or research institutions
- Developing governance frameworks for emerging technologies
- Prior involvement in multi-institutional or international research collaborations
