Meat Co. is a dynamic and growing company specializing in the import, storage, and distribution of frozen and chilled meat products. The company serves the HORECA, Retail, Aviation and Wholesale market segments. Specialising in premium beef as well as in-house processed and value-added meat items. Our state-of-the-art facility features multiple cold rooms and is currently undergoing a transition to a new warehouse management system (WMS) to enhance operational efficiency and scalability.
Job OverviewWe are seeking an experienced and hands-on Warehouse Manager to lead and organize our cold storage warehouse operations (1400 pallets). This is a key leadership role where you will be responsible for ensuring smooth daily operations, overseeing a team of warehouse operators, and implementing best practices in warehouse management.
Key ResponsibilitiesLead and manage day-to-day operations across multiple cold room locations.
Supervise a team of warehouse operators to ensure productivity, safety, and efficiency.
Oversee inventory control and stock accuracy for both imported and in-house manufactured meat products.
Ensure proper handling, storage, and rotation of frozen and chilled goods in accordance with food safety standards.
Work closely with the management team to successfully implement and optimize a new Warehouse Management System (WMS).
Plan and coordinate inbound and outbound logistics with precision and timeliness.
Maintain cleanliness, organization, and compliance with cold chain protocols.
Troubleshoot and resolve operational issues on the ground.
Drive continuous improvement in warehouse processes and team performance.
Proven experience (minimum 3–5 years) in warehouse management, preferably in cold storage or food-related industries.
Strong leadership skills with the ability to manage and motivate a warehouse team.
Familiarity with warehouse management systems (experience with WMS implementation is a plus).
High attention to detail and strong organizational skills.
Physically fit and willing to be on the ground with the team.
A problem-solver with resilience and grit to handle day-to-day challenges.
Knowledge of cold chain logistics and food safety standards is highly preferred.
Ability to work in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
