The Role:
As a Deputy Director in AI Solutions & Design, you will play a pivotal role in shaping and driving AI initiatives across various public sector agencies. You will lead a team to translate strategic goals into actionable AI solutions, ensuring alignment with broader digital transformation objectives.
Develop and implement strategic engagement plans with senior stakeholders across multiple agencies
Lead requirement-gathering efforts using design thinking methodologies to shape high-level AI solutions
Collaborate with product managers to evaluate project feasibility, prioritize initiatives, and allocate resources effectively
Guide agencies in scoping AI use cases and identifying the right tools and services for implementation
Foster partnerships with industry players, research institutions, and academia for co-development and knowledge sharing
Monitor AI trends and conduct strategic foresight to align projects with national digitalization goals
Oversee outreach activities such as workshops, roadshows, and engagement events to promote AI adoption
Ensure project delivery aligns with organizational goals and stakeholder expectations
Provide leadership and mentorship to cross-functional teams\
Support the development of AI product roadmaps and proof-of-concept initiatives
What Are We Looking For?
We are seeking a visionary leader with a strong foundation in AI and technology development, capable of driving innovation and collaboration across diverse teams.
Bachelor’s degree or higher in Computer Science, Information Systems, or related fields
At least 10 years of experience in tech development, with 5+ years in a leadership role
Proven expertise in AI, data science, or machine learning domains
Strong background in designing and implementing tech solutions
Familiarity with multi-tier AI and data analytics architectures
Knowledge of various AI domains such as Vision AI, Language AI, and Emerging AI technologies
Excellent stakeholder engagement and communication skills
Experience leading cross-agency or multi-disciplinary teams
Prior exposure to public sector projects is advantageous
Understanding of homeland security or related domains is a plus
