In charge for technical matter of the project to provide technical support to project and site team.
Ensure that the overall construction activities, details are coordinated in compliance with client’s and authorities’ requirement.
Lead and manage a team of design Engineers in coordination of design drawings with consultants to comply with authority requirements.
Setting goals and targets to ensure that the conflicts and discrepancies within and amongst disciplines are resolved timely for construction on site.
Review and provide solution to technical problems as well as planning, monitoring and reporting work progress for building and civil projects.
Assist PM/PD/TD/STD in overall planning, BIM coordination, construction methodology and checking of drawings.
Conduct Technical Meeting to ensure goals and target set for conflicts and discrepancies are resolved timely.
Ensure that all records / information is properly kept for all activities, events for claims for cost and Extension of Time.
Upkeep all submissions, response for the submission and approval. Monitor the status of the submission and pursue response from the relevant parties once the response is due.
Formulate value engineering with consideration for time, cost, safety and quality for PM’s review.
Actively involve and contribute in technical discussions, site planning and site meetings.
Maintain good working relationship with all parties.
Maintain good communication with all other department.
Take proactive measures, propose ways to prevent costs overruns especially related to design.
Develop and maintain Standard Work Procedures for all critical and major work activities.
Ensure that the drawings / BIM models are updated to the latest information available.
Ensure that the as-built and O&M manual are prepared correctly and timely.
Assist PM/PD in the preparation of Project BIM Execution Plan with reference to the Corporate BIM Execution Plan.
Other duties which may be assigned by the management
Job Requirements:
Degree in Civil Engineering, Geotechnical engineering, or relevant disciplines.
Minimum 10 years of relevant working experience
Proven track record in construction projects.
With at least 3 years of local experience in design consultancy firm will have added advantage.
Independent, diligent, meticulous and highly motivated with excellent team spirit.
Strong understanding of structural engineering principles and practices.
Strong familiarity with authority submissions and regulatory requirements.
Strong communication skills with consultants, client, authority/government agencies and site supervisors.
Proficient in Engineering software like Etabs, Prokon, SAP2000, or Plaxis, and knowledge of BIM.
Strong Value engineering skills/experience will be advantaged
