About the role

Reporting directly to the Director of Food & Beverage, this full-time Director of Beverage position at The American Club of Singapore, located in the Orchard Central Region, is a fantastic opportunity for an experienced and passionate beverage professional. In this strategic role, you will be responsible for overseeing all aspects of the club's comprehensive beverage program, ensuring exceptional service and maximizing revenue growth.

What you'll be doing

• Develop and implement innovative beverage strategies, menus, and promotions to drive customer engagement and increase profitability

• Manage a team of bartenders and servers, providing training, mentorship, and performance management to ensure the highest levels of customer service

• Oversee inventory control, ordering, and cost management to optimize beverage operations

• Collaborate with the culinary team to create complementary food and beverage pairings

• Monitor industry trends and competitor activities to identify opportunities for improvement and differentiation

• Ensure compliance with all relevant liquor licensing, health, and safety regulations

• Contribute to the overall strategic planning and decision-making for the club

What we're looking for

• Minimum 5 years of experience in a senior beverage management role within the hospitality industry

• In-depth knowledge of spirits, wines, cocktails, and beverage trends, with the ability to create unique and appealing drink menus

• Strong leadership and team management skills, with a proven track record of developing and motivating talented beverage teams

• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to liaise effectively with customers, suppliers, and cross-functional colleagues

• Financial acumen and understanding of beverage cost control, inventory management, and profit maximization

• Passion for the hospitality industry and a commitment to delivering exceptional customer experiences
