IT Infrastructure System Engineer - #1111800

We are seeking a skilled and security-focused IT Infrastructure System Engineer with 3 to 5 years of hands-on experience in managing firewalls, networks, endpoints and Microsoft 365. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of IT infrastructure administration and a proactive approach to cybersecurity. Experience in end-user support is a valuable asset.

Responsibilities

Firewall & Network Administration

• Configure, monitor, and maintain firewalls (Fortinet, Palo Alto).

• Manage network infrastructure including switches, routers, and VPNs.

• Monitor network performance and troubleshoot connectivity issues.

Endpoint Management

• Administer endpoint protection platforms including Microsoft Defender Antivirus.

• Ensure compliance with security policies across all devices.

• Perform patch management and software deployment.

Security Operations

• Implement and enforce security best practices across infrastructure.

• Conduct regular vulnerability assessments and remediation.

• Collaborate with security teams to respond to incidents and threats.

System Administration

• Maintain Windows/Linux servers and virtual environments (VMware, Hyper-V).

• Manage Active Directory, DNS, DHCP, and other core services.

• Perform regular backups and disaster recovery testing.

Microsoft 365 Administration

• Manage and maintain Microsoft 365 services including Exchange Online, SharePoint, Teams, OneDrive, and Intune.

• Administer user accounts, licenses, groups, and permissions via Microsoft 365 Admin Center and PowerShell.

• Monitor service health, usage, and performance metrics.

End-User Support (Preferred)

• Provide Tier 2/3 support for escalated technical issues.

• Assist users with hardware/software troubleshooting and setup.

• Document solutions and contribute to knowledge base.

Requirements

·         Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field.

·         3–5 years of experience in IT infrastructure and system administration.

·         Strong knowledge of network protocols, firewall rules, endpoint security and Microsoft 365.

·         Familiarity with security frameworks and compliance standards (e.g., ISO 27001, NIST).

·         Excellent problem-solving and communication skills.
