Senior DevOps Engineer - #1111768

The role

We are looking for Singapore Citizen to join as an experienced Senior DevOps Engineer to our dynamic team at ES Recruitment Pte Ltd, a leading technology company in the North-East Region of Singapore. In this contract role, you will be responsible for designing, implementing, and maintaining our robust DevOps infrastructure to support the development and deployment of our innovative software solutions.

What we offer: Up to S$12 400 + Bonus + HP & Transport Claim for this 1 Year Project Assignment

You need to be able to clear CAT 2A G50 Clearance for this project.

Overview of your role:

-Responsible for the setup, configuration, and management of non-production and production platforms for automation

-Lead the development and coordinate with other Ops Leads to enable Automation. Collect automation requests and guide DevOps and Automation Engineers to develop the automation playbook according to the proper coding standard

- Migration and deployment of the playbook to operationalize automation use cases to improve productivity

- Lead the design and implementation of DevOps and automation solutions for the project

Key responsibilities

1. Understand the automation specifics and concept in day-to-day service delivery and operations in IT Managed Services.

2. Build and maintain an automation playbook using some of these automation technologies, such as Ansible, Python, PowerShell, Chef (Ruby) and Terraform (HCL), Groovy, JavaScript, and other scripting languages.

3. Operationalize automation development to improve productivity.

4. Code or script for automated testing, as well as carry out automated testing procedures in testing and production environments.

5. Code control and versioning of Infra-as-code (IaC) playbook.

6. Manage the setup of the DevOps platform and deployment of the automation use cases.

7. Manage and operate the Platforms [Ansible, Terraform, and Gitlab] and maintain operational SLA.

8. Lead DevOps engineer to develop automation use cases using any of these platforms (Ansible, Chef, and Terraform).

9. Good to know integration with tools such as ITSM and so on.

10. Provide presales solution support for the development of an automation solution.

What we're looking for

• IT Dip/Degree + hands-on experience to develop IaC code using one or more of the scripting languages (e.g. Ansible, Python, Chef (Ruby), Terraform (HCL), Groovy, Powershell, bash)

• Min 6+ years of experience in IaC code development for automation related to service delivery/operation

• Must have experience in implementing IaC code E2E in a managed services project

• Very good hands-on experience in Ansible, Terraform, and Chef Platform setup, configuration, and management

• Must have certifications in DevOps, or any of the automation tools

• Experience in code versioning, CI/CD, and automated testing

• Experience in DevOps platform setup and configuration

• Experience in CI/CD Pipeline development and deployment

• Sound and hands-on experience with some of the scripting languages (Python, Ansible, JavaScript, Perl, and/or Groovy)

• Experience with source code and version control

• Hands-on experience in cloud DevOps is advantageous

• Strong background in Linux/Unix/Windows Administration

• Experience in automation, configuration, and compliance management using either Puppet, Chef, or Ansible

• Ability to use a wide variety of open-source technologies and scripting languages

• Some knowledge in developing a playbook using the RPA tool

• Must be willing to wait for G50 Cat 2A Clearance to start work.
