HARDWARE ENGINEER (ELECTRICAL PANEL DESIGN)

About the Position

We are seeking a detail-oriented and innovative Hardware Engineer to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for designing and developing electrical control panels and related systems for automated equipment, from concept through to completion. You will work closely with project teams to evaluate requirements, create schematics and layouts, select components, and ensure compliance with industry standards and safety regulations. This position offers the opportunity to be involved in all stages of the design process, including testing, troubleshooting, and implementing improvements, while also providing technical support and training to internal teams and customers. Your expertise will be instrumental in delivering reliable, efficient, and high-quality electrical solutions tailored to project needs.

Key Responsibilities

• Evaluate and understand project requirements to plan execution of component design, select system components and design specification

• Create electrical control schematics drawings for automated equipment

• Create 2D or 3D electrical panel lay out, cable routing layout, etc

• Generate equipment Bill of material

• Incorporation of design related safety aspects in accordance with local regulations

• Perform debugging, testing and improvement of current products

• Provide in-house / on-site technical support, documentation and technical training

Qualifications

• Diploma or Degree in Electrical/Electronic/Mechatronics Engineering

• Minimum 2 years’ experience in relevant field

Technical Skills

• Proficiency in various software such as AutoCAD, E3 and Altium Designer

• Experience in PLC Control system design, programming & testing

Additional Skills

• Familiar with various controls components and selection according to projects requirements

• Ability to work independently in designing and liaising with customers on technical specifications and requirements

• Participate in and effectively communicate in group discussions and meetings

• Strong attention to design details and dimensions
