Test Development Engineer - #1111529

As a Test Development Engineer, you will be responsible for developing and troubleshooting test programs for the In Circuit Tester. You will be required to perform machine operation programming using VHDL and Python. Additionally, your role will involve PCBA level debugging and soldering using both manual and semi-automatic soldering machines. You will collaborate closely with engineers from various workshops to follow up and gather on-site test results, ensuring the delivery of high-quality products to our customers. Furthermore, you will have opportunities to explore new tools or systems to enhance our operations at both team and workshop levels.

Job Responsibilities:

• Implement new tools and machines to maintain board level repair availability and readiness.

• Perform defect troubleshooting at the PCBA level and set up equipment for testing or analysis.

• Conduct failure analysis of defective boards.

• Refurbish electronics units/assemblies.

Period:

• 1 year contract (renewable & convertible)

Working Hours:

• Mon - Fri: 8am - 5.30pm

Salary: 

• $3,000-$5,000

Location: 

• Ang Mo Kio (Shuttle service provided at selected MRT stations)

Job Requirements:

• Minimum NTIEC in Electronics Engineering, IT, or a related field.

• Knowledge in Electronics Engineering, IT, or a related field.

• Experience in printed circuit board assembly (PCBA) troubleshooting.

• Experience in product-level testing and debugging is beneficial.

• Understanding of VHDL for logic control, integrated circuit simulations, and verification, with knowledge of both analogue and digital circuit design requirements.

• Some experience in Python programming is advantageous.

• A willingness to learn and a positive mindset.

• Understanding of quality and process improvement from card level repair to testing.

• Ability to work well both in a team and independently as required.
