As a Quantity Surveyor in market leader in real-estate developer (industrial properties) you
• play a pivotal role in managing the financial aspects of construction projects.
• will be responsible for estimating project costs, monitoring budgets, and ensuring that the project remains financially viable from inception to completion.
1. Cost Estimation:/Budget Management
• Prepare accurate and detailed cost estimates for construction projects based on architectural and engineering drawings, specifications, and other relevant documents.
• Develop, monitor, and control project budgets throughout the construction lifecycle.
• Implement effective cost control measures, regularly monitoring and analyzing project costs.
2. Tendering and Contracts:
• Assist in the tendering process by preparing and evaluating tender documents.
• Review contractor and supplier bids, negotiate contracts, and ensure compliance with project specifications and budget constraints.
3. Value Engineering:
• Collaborate with the design and construction teams to identify opportunities for value engineering and cost optimization without compromising project quality.
4. Client and Stakeholder Communication:
• Establish and maintain effective communication channels with clients, contractors, and other stakeholders.
• Provide regular updates on project costs and financial status.
• Be cognizant of contract law and its application to the tender contract documents
5. Compliance and Regulations:
• Ensure compliance with relevant local regulations, industry standards, and company policies related to cost management.
Qualifications and Skills:
• Bachelor’s degree in Quantity Surveying, Construction Management, or a related field.
• Professional accreditation is desirable.
• Proven experience as a Quantity Surveyor in the construction industry.
• Proficient in cost estimation software and MS Excel.
• Strong analytical, mathematical, and negotiation skills.
• Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
