This candidate is responsible for the operations of the communications ministry covering communications-specific and ministry-administration processes. The Programme Coordinator is expected to facilitate the process and coordination of primary deliverables and functions of Communications ministry while conforming to compliance requirements. In addition, this person is expected, as part of the communications team, to contribute to the content creation process of ministry projects and be prepared for additional tasks that may be assigned.

Job Description:

1.       Oversee communications operations across various media and platforms, ensuring accuracy and timeliness, and evaluate platform performance and effectiveness using available tools.

2.       Create content for communications production and publicity materials.

3.       Work with MCOs, staff teams, and ministry partners on the content of publicity materials to ensure accuracy, effectiveness and alignment with policy and requirements (of platforms, corporate identity, copyrights and statutory requirements etc.)

4.       Liaise and collaborate with MCOs, staff teams, and ministry partners on project matters and follow-ups.

5.       Liaise with vendors/contractors on communications deliverables.

6.       Manage administrative operations, including budgets, expenses, and compliance.

7.       Document processes and policies for continuity and seek improvement of operations.

Requirement:

  • Min Diploma in Communications or related discipline

  • Min 3 years of experience in communications-related scope and work settings.

  • Experience with working with large teams internally and externally

  • Experience with working in similar role in a church environment is a plus

  • Strong ministry-based approach to work

  • Prior experienced and education in Communications or related field 

  • Strong team player: ability to support and work across multiple team formats (communications ministry, MCOs, ministry partners.)

  • Creative thinking: constantly pushing for improvement, innovation and streamlined, effective solutions.

  • Clarity of processes, guidelines, areas for compliance and organisational constraints, and adaptable to change.
