Visual Merchandiser, Packaging & Design Specialist (Jewellery Focus)
Working Location: Depends on Projects
Working hours: 44 hours per week
Expected salary range: $3.5k to $5k
Role Overview:
This position combines visual merchandising, packaging design, and graphic design to create a refined, immersive brand experience in the high-end jewellery sector. The ideal candidate will bring a deep understanding of materials, aesthetics, and display techniques to elevate brand presentation across physical retail spaces, packaging, events, and print materials.
Key Responsibilities:
Visual Merchandising (Jewellery-Focused)
Create sophisticated displays that highlight craftsmanship and product stories.
Ensure a consistent, luxurious aesthetic across all showcases.
Develop visual merchandising guidelines, tailored to jewellery presentation.
Packaging & Gifting
Design premium, protective packaging using high-quality materials (silk, suede, velvet).
Oversee the unboxing experience and ensure inclusion of jewellery care elements.
Collaborate on bespoke packaging for events and gifting programs.
Design & Brand Aesthetic
Create branded print materials (catalogues, booklets, certificates).
Ensure visual consistency across print, packaging, and merchandising.
Utilize Adobe Creative Suite for design execution.
Event Merchandising
Plan and execute high-end displays for pop-ups, trunk shows, and private events.
Design portable, brand-consistent setups for off-site/international events.
Coordinate with vendors and assist in on-site setup and presentation.
Print Production
Manage production of brochures, stationery, and event materials.
Ensure luxury finishes (foil stamping, embossing, textured paper) align with brand identity.
Vendor Management & Sourcing
Source and manage high-quality vendors for packaging and displays.
Visit production facilities for quality control and material evaluation.
Collaborate on bespoke display elements and materials.
Travel & On-Site Execution
Travel domestically/internationally for supplier meetings, event support, and installations.
Attend trade events to stay current with material and display innovations.
Ensure flawless execution of displays in both retail and event settings.
Key Skills & Qualifications:
Experience: 3+ years in visual merchandising, packaging design, or luxury retail.
Design Skills: Proficient in Adobe Photoshop, Illustrator, and InDesign.
Event Experience: Skilled in luxury product display for events and launches.
Willingness to Travel: Flexible for local and international travel.
