Care Concierge (Healthcare Assistant) - Day Care Centre - #1110782

Job Purpose

To be the supportive friend to our clients and their caregivers, rendering assistance when necessary and engaging them always, and in so doing, helping them age gracefully and living a meaningful life.

Activities

1) Facilitate clients in participating in daily life in the centre:

• Physical activities

• Leisure & social activities

• Personal care (toileting)

2) Giving opportunities for clients to give and receive care:

• Encouraging/facilitating clients to plan and lead activities

• Encouraging/facilitating clients to be able to care for self and others (e.g. people, plants, pets)

3) Assist in the conduct of activities.

4) Ensure the cleanliness of the centre at all times by carrying out the necessary cleaning duties assigned.

5) Assist in simple administrative duties as assigned by Centre Manager (e.g. documentation; progress reports; statistics record)

6) Conduct inventory stock checks as instructed

7) Participate in quality improvement initiatives/projects

8) Perform other duties assigned by Centre Manager

Requirements

• Minimum GCE 'O' Level or other relevant qualifications

• Ability to converse in local languages so as to be able to communicate with clients

• Willingness to build and patience in building a relationship with the clients

• Prior experience in caregiving duties in Hospitals, Nursing Homes or individual parents would be advantageous
