About the Role
We are seeking an experienced and strategic Director to develop and lead the learning academy within the Gain City group of companies.
In this role, you will be responsible for establishing and overseeing the end-to-end operations for a scalable learning academy aligned with Singapore’s vision. You will lead the design and execution of training programmes, ensure full compliance with regulations and build a high-performing team to plan and deliver impactful lessons. A key part of the role is to drive continuous improvement in educational outcomes and operational excellence.
Key Responsibilities
Ensure full compliance with all relevant regulations, statutory requirements and internal SOPs
Maintain up-to-date knowledge of government regulations, national schemes and masterplans related to training providers and lifelong learning
Design, implement and manage a scalable and sustainable business model for the learning academy
Develop and maintain strong partnerships with key stakeholders, including leading contract negotiations where necessary
Lead, coach and develop a high-performing team of planners and trainers to ensure effective programme design, delivery and operational excellence
Oversee the development of course offerings aligned with market and organisational demands
Explore and evaluate opportunities to diversify the academy’s offerings beyond the initial scope of courses
Review and optimise existing processes and organisational structures to improve efficiency and enable automation
Qualifications and Requirements
Bachelor’s degree in business administration, learning and development or a related field
Minimum of 10 years of progressive experience in learning and development or workforce training
WSQ Advanced Certificate in Training and Assessment (ACTA) is preferred
Proven leadership capabilities, with a strong track record of building and developing high-performing teams
In-depth knowledge of regulations and statutory compliance
Demonstrated success in driving process improvements and operational excellence
Strong experience in cost management, budgeting and leading efficiency initiatives
