As a Deputy Manager [Outpatient Pharmacy], you will be responsible for the following duties:
Ensure correct dispensing of medication to the right patient while supervising pharmacy technicians and assistants in the preparation and dispensing process.
Resolve prescription ambiguities with prescribers and ensure adherence to Good Dispensing Practices.
Provide comprehensive counselling to patients on medication use, potential side effects, drug interactions, and storage instructions to promote compliance and self-care.
Advise doctors and healthcare professionals on drug selection, dosages, and potential interactions, while also offering guidance on over-the-counter products.
Conduct training for healthcare professionals and support the professional development of pharmacy staff and students through orientation, mentorship, and the creation of training materials.
Maintain high standards of medication safety by ensuring proper dispensing practices and addressing patient feedback effectively.
Monitor patients’ health progress and deliver specialized support for chronic conditions through collaboration with healthcare teams to optimize treatment outcomes.
Manage medication storage and inventory to ensure accuracy, security, and compliance with regulations.
Conduct regular audits and investigate stock variances, including cold chain issues.
Oversee administrative operations, including audit preparation, manpower planning, and adherence to organizational procedures.
Monitor and support achievement of key performance indicators (KPIs), and continuously seek opportunities for process improvement.
Drive sales performance and store profitability by managing merchandising, maintaining a safe and welcoming environment, and meeting assigned targets.
Promptly investigate dispensing errors and patient complaints, implementing corrective actions and reporting outcomes to uphold service standards.
Ensure compliance with healthcare regulations and internal policies, maintaining accurate documentation for audits and legal requirements.
Lead team performance by managing conflicts, driving a positive workplace culture, overseeing staff development, and aligning operational efforts with organizational goals.
Other ad-hocs duties assigned
Requirements:
Degree in Pharmacy
At least 5 years of relevant experience in healthcare setting
Registered with Singapore Pharmacy Council
Form A license with Health Sciences Authority
