Senior Design Engineer (Electrical Switchboards & Control Panels/ MNC) - #1109822

Our esteemed client, an established and globally recognised MNC, is searching for a Senior Design Engineer (Electrical Switchboards & Control Panels):

Job Responsibilities:

• Lead and manage larger design projects, ensuring successful delivery of assigned team outputs.

• Plan, allocate, and monitor work assignments for the design team.

• Supervise, guide, and mentor junior engineers and designers.

• Review, verify, and approve design drawings and documentation prepared by the team.

• Ensure effective implementation of the Design Control functions and adherence to the company’s Quality Management System (QMS).

• Prepare material requisition lists for project requirements.

• Plan and design electrical switchboards, consoles, and control panels in line with customer requirements and company standards.

• Prepare approval drawings, shop drawings, final drawings, short circuit calculations, and technical manuals for client submission and production use.

• Collaborate with clients and consultants on technical requirements; attend technical meetings and discussions as necessary.

• Provide feedback to the Sales & Marketing team on technical requirement changes for variation claims (cost and timeline).

• Coordinate closely with Production to follow up on design and shop drawings.

• Provide technical advice and support to the Sales & Marketing team in securing contracts.

• Continuously drive process improvements within the department to enhance efficiency, reduce wastage, and achieve cost savings.

• Ensure strict compliance with QMS procedures for effective control and implementation.

Job Requirements:

• Diploma or Degree in Electrical Engineering, or equivalent qualifications.

• Minimum of 4 years of relevant experience in electrical design, preferably in switchboard, control panel, or related industries.

• Strong technical knowledge in electrical design principles, standards, and calculations.

• Proven leadership skills with experience in managing and mentoring teams.

• Ability to work independently and in collaboration with cross-functional teams.

• Detail-oriented, with a strong commitment to quality, efficiency, and continuous improvement.

Additional Information:

• Salary: Basic Up to SGD 5,200 + AWS + Variable Bonus (2 months)

• Working Location: Tuas Crescent

• Working Hours: Monday - Friday, 5-days work week from 8.15am to 5.45pm
