Merchandiser/ Buyer (English Books) - #1109631

Key Responsibilities:

• Source and evaluate new products and suppliers to meet market trends and quality standards

• Plan and manage product assortment, category allocation, and range planning

• Analyze pricing strategies to optimize sales performance and profit margins

• Negotiate with suppliers on costs, promotions, and timely delivery of stock

• Monitor inventory levels, ensuring replenishment of bestsellers and managing slow-moving items

• Develop and implement strategies to optimize sell-through rates and minimize markdowns

• Collaborate with internal teams on promotional strategies and product launches

• Prepare monthly sell-through analysis, inventory, and stock aging reports

• Conduct market research and competitor analysis to inform merchandising decisions

• Perform store visits to ensure merchandising standards are met

• Assist in event merchandising, campaigns, and related administrative duties

• Perform any other duties as assigned by management

Qualifications & Requirements:

• Diploma or Bachelor’s Degree in Business, Marketing, or related field

• Minimum 3 years’ experience in retail merchandising/category management with proven track record

• Knowledge of SAP is an advantage
