System Design Manager / Senior Engineer (Optics / R&D) - #1109620

Responsibilities:

• Define the top-level system specifications based on marketing requirements

• Identify system architecture choices and lead down-selection process

• Help build system performance model and error budget, allocate requirements to the subsystems, optimize hardware/software solutions.

• Create test plans, define required HW/SW setups, lead test design efforts and manage execution

• Develop technical material for internal and external consumption

• Expand patent portfolio

• Coach team members

Requirements:

• Experience leading R&D or engineering team with demonstrated success

• Solid theoretical and experimental knowledge of physical optics, optical metrology, light sources and sensors, data analysis, signal processing

• Expertise in at least two of the following: optical microscopy, optical design, EM modeling, optical metrology, optical design, interferometry, ellipsometry, scatterometry, laser physics

• Hands-on skills in optical setups and willingness to use them

• Data analysis, physics and system modeling capability

• Excellent communication and presentation skills

Minimum Qualifications

• PhD in Physics/Engineering with minimum 5 years of relevant experience
