Our Client, in the Trading Industry located in the Central has opening for Freight / Chartering Executive.

Freight/Chartering Executive’s responsible includes but not limited to support the Trading Team for Supramax, Handymax, Small Handy and Palm Oil Tanker to support Cement/Clinker, Gypsum, Fertilizers, Coal, Rice and Crude Palm Oil trades.
Responsibilities:
Seeks best transportation solution, uses opportunities for the trading books consistent with the company objectives and business plans.
Effectively uses the market and timing to obtain most competitive rates.
Maintains close liaison and good relations with traders, customers, brokers, ship owners.
Negotiates charters to satisfy trader requirements in accordance with relevant contracts and within time and cost parameters.
Identifies market opportunities which could be developed into profit opportunities for the commodities department.
Performs analysis, identifies and evaluates alternative chartering strategies and analysis to ensure best economics are obtained for clients and customers.
Provides market intelligence, updates and industry changes to traders and operations staff on a regular basis.
Ensures charter party terms are negotiated in the most favorable way and consistent with applicable terms and conditions.
Create performance improvement plans for load port/discharge port agents who are not meeting departmental performance goals.
Shall attend various commercial activities to stay abreast with changes and trends in the maritime industry.
Adheres to all current policies and procedures.
Experience in Voyage charter must and Time charter calculations will be an added advantage.
Other related duties as required.
Freight Executive
Handle trading inquiries covering Supramax, Handy, Minibulkers, Breakbulk/Parcelling to support various trading books
Main cargo grades covering Cement, Clinker, Gypsum, Sugar, Rice, Fertilizers, Rock Phosphate, PKE, PKM, Animal Feed etc and worldwide trades
Negotiate Spot, COA, CVC in consistent with trading requirement and company objectives/policies
Manage various cargo programs for in-house fleet
Provide daily bunker updates/weekly freight guidance/fortnightly market intelligence reports to trading teams and management
Attend to commercial/operational disputes and adhoc requests
Other projects like S&P, TC and business development
Maintain and develop relationship with various counter parties and industrial players
Requirements:
Diploma/Degree in Supply Chain Management and Logistics
At least 1 Year(s) of working experience in the related field is required for this position
