Roles & Responsibilities
Job Overview
The IQC Engineer will report directly to the Quality Manager and be responsible for monitoring and implementing quality activities within both engineering and operations.
This role will focus primarily on incoming materials and Supplier Quality, contributing to the development and improvement of quality processes (incoming, in-process and out-going).
The successful candidate will play a key role in ensuring that quality standards are met and maintained across the supply chain.
Main Responsibilities
Quality Control Oversight:
- Ensure the quality of incoming raw materials, in-process materials, and finished products meet specific standards.
- Follow SOP in quality inspection criteria and measurement accuracy
- Approve only products meeting all specifications for release.
- Conduct Supplier Audits and Supplier performance appraisal
Data Analysis & Continuous Improvement:
- Analyse test data to identify trends for production or testing improvements.
- Drive continuous improvement efforts in the quality management system.
Non-Conformance
- Evaluate non-conforming products and determine appropriate actions.
- Issue RMR to supplier and provide corrective actions
- Investigate root causes and implement corrective actions.
- Perform Failure Analysis
- Collaborate with other departments for corrective actions on quality issues.
IQC Reporting:
- Prepare and issue detailed IQC reports documenting test results and inspections.
- Ensure reports are accurate and timely for internal and customer purposes.
- 8D Report
- Failure Analysis Report
Work Methods Review:
- Regularly review work methods and inspection plans for continuous improvement.
- Identify optimization opportunities in supplier OQA, incoming processes or test plan methods.
Qualifications/ Requirements:
- Diploma in engineering major in Electronics or Electrical or Mechatronics
- Certified ISO Internal Auditor
- Knowledge in CMM machine, High Power Microscope, Digital gauges and Callipers
- Experience in semiconductor machine assembly and process is advantage
- Minimum 3 years of experience in incoming quality control or quality assurance
