Responsibilities:
Train Operations
- Drive passenger trains and perform emergency train operator duties.
- Monitor train performance and resolve defects per guidelines.
Passenger Assistance
- Respond to inquiries about routes, fares, and transport connections.
- Help passengers with special needs board and alight safely.
Safety and Compliance
- Monitor stations and equipment for irregularities and address issues.
- Ensure passengers follow transit regulations.
- Handle emergencies (e.g., fire, train defects, passenger incidents) safely and efficiently.
Communication
- Coordinate with the control center and passengers using communication equipment.
Qualifications and Procedures
- Maintain necessary certifications and adhere to operational procedures and manuals.
Perform other duties as directed by his/ her superiors.
Requirements:
Minimum 5 credits GCE 'O' Levels
Able to reach the height of 197cm with both hands
Willing to perform shift work, including weekends and Public Holidays
Preferably with minimum 2 years' working experience in the service or retail industry
Required to manually operate station and trainborne equipment
Possess a pleasant disposition and personality
Good interpersonal skills with a passion to work with people
Ability to identify colours
