Primary Objectives of Position

• To ensure the safety and well-being of the special needs students in their care. 

• To be aware of safety procedures and never to leave students unattended.

• Maintains excellent safety record

• Cleanliness and hygiene within school compound.

Job responsibilities:

• To drive carefully and always observe the traffic rules.

• To maintain the roadworthiness of the vehicle through regular maintenance and checks of tyre pressure, battery water, etc including regular servicing of the vehicle during the school vacation.

• To be fully responsible for all traffic and parking offences arising from the use of the school bus.

• Check and plan daily outing schedule or route every morning when reporting to work.

• Ensure where possible that the School vehicle runs according to timetable for each pick-up and drop-off.

• Ensure all students are wheeled and/or seated and have seat belts on.

• Remain in the bus until all students have alighted.

• Consult with the officer-in-charge on duties required after each school drop off for despatch and delivery (on rotation).

• Ensure that the cash card value is sufficient for use.

• Assist to maintain cleanliness of the interior and exterior of the school van twice a week.

• Maintaining a positive attitude and providing excellent service to the students and staff

• To report any accidents, damage or maintenance needed to the officer-in-charge as soon as possible.

• Provide handy work such as minor repairs for furniture, doors, simple plumbing works etc. 

• Maintain cleanliness in the general office, assist with uniform stock taking, proper disposal of old documents.

• Assist with half yearly disposal of broken furniture/computers, etc.

• To assist in school events when required by the Organizing Committee.

• Report any defects during daily round check within the school

• Carry out any other duties as requested by Principal/Vice Principals
