Underwriter / Senior Underwriter (General Insurance, Perm, Commercial lines) - #1107621

Location: Central

Working Hours: Mon – Thur: 830am to 530pm, Fri: 830am to 430pm

Salary: Up to $7,000 per month

Job Description:

• Formulate and review underwriting guidelines and practices to ensure that they fit the Company’s risk appetite statement and strategy 

• Provide authority delegation recommendations 

• Monitor the portfolio and provide underwriting improvement recommendations 

• Provide new products and referral approval recommendation 

• Provide recommendations to improve treaty and facultative reinsurance strategy

• Provide technical training to staff

• Develop underwriting tools and resources to support the underwriting process

Requirements:

• Recognised Degree in Business or related discipline 

• Professional insurance qualifications (BCP, ComGI & PGI). ACII is an advantage

• At least 8 years of relevant experience in underwriting commercial and personal lines

• Proficient in Microsoft Office 

• Fluent in written and spoken English 

• Singaporeans only
