Research & Development (R&D) Engineer

• Up till $6000 basic + variable bonus

• Monday to Friday, 9am to 6pm

• Tuas South Street

Responsibilities & Duties

• New Product Development:
  Support the conceptualization and development of new products for novel applications, ensuring feasibility and technical soundness.

• Equipment Installation & Commissioning:
  Assist in setting up and commissioning new machinery and systems as per project requirements.

• Product Improvement:
  Analyze existing products and processes, recommending and implementing enhancements to improve performance, efficiency, or cost-effectiveness.

• Experimental Analysis:
  Design, execute, and analyze experiments. Compile data and report findings to guide future development.

• Risk Assessment:
  Conduct detailed risk assessments on new materials and equipment to ensure compliance with safety and operational standards.

• SOP Development & IP Protection:
  Develop standard operating procedures (SOPs) for production while safeguarding proprietary processes and intellectual property.

• Administrative & Coordination Support:
  Provide administrative and coordination assistance to the Chief Technology Officer (CTO) for seamless project execution and communication across teams.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s Degree in Chemical, Materials, or Polymer Engineering/Science

• 3 years of relevant working experience in R&D or manufacturing environment.

• 3 years’ Strong Chemical Engineering Experience and background. Preferably, chemical manufacturing, chemical coating for the food packaging is best.

• Proficient in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and basic data analysis tools

• Familiar with CAD software (e.g., SolidWorks, AutoCAD) and/or lab equipment for testing and analysis
