System Engineer - #1106933

Main Duties and Responsibilities:

The successful candidate will be assigned to support critical IT infrastructure activities at the customer’s premises, including:

• General System Support

  • Assist with day-to-day IT operations, system maintenance, and performance monitoring.

  • Troubleshoot hardware/software issues and escalate as necessary.

• Virtualization & OS Support

  • Support VMware vSphere environments, including deployment, patching, and monitoring tasks.

  • Provide basic administrative support for Linux systems (e.g., configuration, CLI commands).

• Database Support Exposure

  • Assist in routine monitoring and support for MySQL, Oracle, and DB2 database environments.

  • Perform basic backup and recovery support tasks under guidance.

Note: Project scope and assignments may evolve according to customer requirements.

Job Requirements:

• Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field from a recognized university.

• 1 to 3 years of relevant experience in system engineering or infrastructure support.

• Working knowledge of VMware virtualization technologies.

• Familiarity with Linux systems and basic command-line operations.

• Exposure to relational databases (e.g., MySQL, Oracle, DB2) is a bonus.

• Prior experience in a customer-facing or IT system integrator environment is advantageous.
