Senior Quality Engineer | OEM Aerospace | NADCAP - #1106841

Responsibilities:

• Carry out quality assurance activities related to products and processes, and maintain the Quality Management System while ensuring compliance with all relevant government agencies, aviation authorities, and customer requirements and regulations.

• Oversee the Quality Management System.

• Review and update quality procedures and the quality manual.

• Coordinate with customers, vendors, and suppliers on non-conformance issues; investigate root causes and implement effective corrective actions to reduce the cost of poor quality.

• Conduct internal and external vendor audits to assess quality systems, products, and processes in line with ISO 9001, AS9100, and NADCAP standards.

• Work closely with internal teams to prepare for First Article submissions in accordance with AS13100 requirements.

• Participate in and review Material Review Board (MRB) activities to help reduce monthly scrap and cost of poor quality.

Requirements:

• Degree in Mechanical / Aeronautical Engineering / other relevant disciplines

• Minimum 5 years’ relevant experience in Aerospace manufacturing environment

• Familiar with ISO9001 / AS9100/ AS13100 Quality Management System requirements

• Good understanding and knowledge on use of problem-solving tools including fishbone diagrams, FMEA and 5-whys methodology

• Able to read and interpret technical drawings

• Possess good analytical and resourceful

• Able to multi-task and meticulous in nature

• Familiar with NADCAP processes including FPI, heat treatment, non-conventional machining, shot-peening and chemical processing would be an advantage
