Basic Functions: 

• Responsible for procurement and purchasing of raw materials and other supplies required by the plant at the lowest possible cost content and accepted standards of quality and services within established time frame.

• Responsible for purchasing control and vendor management.

• Sources and establishing alternate vendors for key raw materials to ensure consistent supply of materials.

 Duties: 

• Establishes and maintain policy procedure relating to raw material purchasing.

• Sources and qualify new suppliers for raw material and services.

• Initiate alternate vendor qualification for key raw materials.

• Executed contractual agreements with suppliers and service providers.

• Ensure consistent supply of raw materials at negotiated price and specification.

• Ensure effective supplier’s management.

• Negotiate for lower pricing, delivery, service and vendor quality as required.

• Review price variance and submit recommendation for corrective action to Management.

• Follow up closely on PO due dates to ensure timely delivery.

• Liaise closely with supplier, forwarder and relevant personnel on regulatory and importation issue.

• Ensure importations procedure for biological materials are compliance to BATA ACT Regulation.

• Participate in implementation of new ERP System for Purchasing Module.

• Identify potential area for improvement and enhance on its effectiveness & efficiency.

• Performs any other duties that may from time to time be assigned.

• Ensures work processes, procedures, quality and safety are in compliance with ISO 13485 / FDA QSR 21 CFR: PART 820 standards and any other regulatory requirements.

 Requirements:

Ability to: Understand the purchasing procedure and communicate effectively with suppliers, Logistic & warehouse personnel and other relevant departments/sections.

Knowledge of: Procurement skills, negotiation skill in purchasing, international shipment, and computer literate.

Education: Master / Degree In Biology/Chemistry

Experience: 3 years of relevant work experience in Life Science field.
