We are looking for a driven and adaptable communications professional to lead and support media outreach and strategic planning in a fast-paced, high-stakes environment. This role is ideal for someone with a strong foundation in public relations and media strategy, and who is confident in handling crisis communications and content development for both traditional and digital channels.

Key Responsibilities

• Define communications objectives and develop strategies that align with organisational goals.

• Recommend effective use of media channels (mainstream, online, social) to ensure timely and impactful outreach.

• Draft media releases, prepare communication materials, and craft key messages tailored to different platforms.

• Simplify technical information for media audiences where needed.

• Build and maintain strong relationships with journalists and editors.

• Pitch stories, secure media opportunities, and manage media queries professionally.

• Track media coverage, ensure accuracy in reporting, and analyse trends to provide actionable insights.

• Evaluate communication effectiveness and suggest improvements.

• Support issues management and crisis communication planning.

• Respond swiftly and appropriately during high-pressure situations.

• Manage media calendars, compile headlines, support internal communication exercises and training, and assist in media events and vendor coordination.
  

Requirements

• Degree in Mass Communications, Journalism, or a related field.

• Minimum 3 years of experience in media communications or public relations.

• Familiarity with Singapore’s media landscape and strong media relations are essential.

• Strong writing and verbal communication skills, with an eye for detail.

• Proven ability to work under pressure and manage multiple stakeholders.

• Analytical, strategic, and proactive mindset with strong team collaboration skills.

• Experience in crisis communications and planning is a plus.
