Shipping Officer – Job Requirements

Education & Qualifications:

• Diploma or Degree in Logistics, Supply Chain Management, Maritime Studies, or a related field.

• Professional certifications (e.g., IATA, FIATA, IMDG) are a plus.

Experience:

• 1–3 years of relevant experience in shipping, logistics, or freight forwarding.

• Familiarity with import/export documentation, shipping procedures, and Incoterms.

• Experience working with customs clearance and port authorities preferred.

Skills:

• Strong knowledge of shipping regulations and documentation (BLs, invoices, packing lists, etc.).

• Proficient in MS Office (Excel, Word, Outlook); experience with ERP or shipping systems is an advantage.

• Good organizational and coordination skills.

• Attention to detail and ability to meet tight deadlines.

• Effective communication skills (written & verbal).

Other Requirements:

• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

• Must be able to handle multiple shipments and tasks simultaneously.

• Knowledge of international trade compliance and safety standards.
