Working Schedule: 3 Weekdays + 2 Weekends ( 12pm to 9pm Weekday | 9am to 6:30pm Weekend)

Salary: Basic Salary + Teaching Incentive + Performance Bonus

Job Description:

As a Primary Math Teacher at Geniebook, you will play a crucial role in delivering high-quality mathematics education to primary school students, fostering a love for numbers, and helping them achieve their full potential. You will be responsible for both online and in-person teaching, utilizing Geniebook's innovative platforms and resources to create engaging and impactful learning experiences.

Key Responsibilities and Job Scope:

1. Teaching and Instruction:

• GenieClass Live Teaching (Online & Outlets):

  • Plan, prepare, and deliver engaging and interactive live online mathematics lessons for primary students via the GenieClass platform.

  • Conduct live teaching sessions at designated Geniebook outlets, providing an immersive and interactive learning experience for students in a physical setting.

  • Utilize a variety of teaching methodologies and digital tools to cater to diverse learning styles and ensure active student participation.

  • Foster a positive and supportive learning environment that encourages curiosity, critical thinking, and problem-solving skills.

  • Adapt teaching strategies based on real-time student engagement and understanding.

• Physical Teaching at Campus:

  • Deliver engaging and effective mathematics lessons to primary students in a traditional classroom setting at Geniebook's campus locations.

  • Implement effective classroom management techniques to ensure a conducive learning environment.

  • Provide individualized attention and support to students as needed.

2. Curriculum Development and Content Creation:

• GenieSmart Curriculum Integration:

  • Work closely with the academic team to align teaching content with Geniebook's GenieSmart personalized learning pathways.

  • Develop supplementary materials, exercises, and assessments that complement the GenieSmart curriculum and reinforce learning objectives.

• GenieAsk Support:

  • Contribute to the development of clear and concise explanations and solutions for mathematics problems frequently encountered by primary students, supporting the GenieAsk platform.

  • Review and provide feedback on existing GenieAsk solutions to ensure accuracy and pedagogical effectiveness.

3. Student Progress and Support:

• Monitoring and Assessment:

  • Regularly assess student progress through formative and summative assessments, providing constructive feedback to students and parents.

  • Utilize data from GenieSmart and GenieClass to track student performance and identify areas for improvement.

  • Collaborate with parents and provide regular updates on student academic progress and areas for development.

• Individualized Support:

  • Identify students who may require additional support and implement differentiated instruction strategies.

  • Provide one-on-one or small group tutoring as needed to address specific learning gaps.

4. Teacher Duties and Administration:

• Attendance Marking: Accurately mark and maintain student attendance records for both online and physical classes.

• Professional Development: Actively participate in ongoing professional development sessions and training provided by Geniebook to enhance teaching skills and stay updated on educational trends.

• Collaboration: Collaborate effectively with fellow teachers, academic coordinators, and the EdTech team to share best practices, develop innovative teaching strategies, and ensure a cohesive learning experience.

• Communication: Maintain open and professional communication with students, parents, and colleagues.

• Adherence to Policies: Adhere to all Geniebook policies and procedures.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's Degree in Mathematics, Education, or a related field.

• Proven experience teaching Primary Mathematics, preferably with experience in both online and traditional classroom settings.

• Strong understanding of the Singapore Primary Mathematics Syllabus.

• Proficiency in using digital learning platforms and educational technology tools.

• Excellent communication, interpersonal, and presentation skills.

• Ability to engage and motivate young learners.

• Patience, empathy, and a genuine passion for teaching.

• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
