This role thrives in the delivery of consistently high level of services to internal stakeholders. You will be part of a technical operations team responsible for monitoring, managing and maintaining SOC’s production environments. You will be responsible for supporting multiple platform infrastructures and maintaining an IT service management framework to deliver system and application monitoring, incident mitigation and remediation capabilities. You will work in cooperation with maintenance staffs ensuring platform reliability and resiliency are aligned with operational needs.

Job Description:

• Provide systems engineering and operational support for the SOC's production infrastructure components including but not limited to Window Servers 2016, Windows 11 Desktop, VMware VCenter, backups, SIEM, malware protection and Cloud systems.

• Provide expert level support to core systems, which are either Windows AD, or applications (SIEM, Log collector) running on Linux platforms.

• Handle all escalations on system, network and applications and attend to faults, troubleshoot and resolve hardware and software technical problems.

• Manage and maintain an up-to-date SOC IT asset and patch information list, network diagrams, system requests and documented processes for the operations and maintenance of the platforms

• Develop and improve instrumentations to monitor the health and availability of the SOC's system-related infrastructure, experience with monitoring tools, e.g. SolarWinds etc.

• Automate repetitive systems monitoring tasks

• Perform routine preventive maintenance tasks, e.g. updating relevant security devices, applying critical patches to operating systems, applications, etc.

• Work closely with the relevant teams to ensure smooth operations of all services

• Coordinate with and manage external vendors for support

• Responsible for the quality, reliability and availability of the SOC’s infrastructure

Job Requirements:

• At least 3 years of relevant experience or equivalent practical experience in network and Windows and Linux systems administration

• Strong knowledge of Windows Server services in Administering Active Directory Domain services, Group Policy, Microsoft DNS and DHCP services

• Strong knowledge with virtualization technology, VMware ESXi, VCenter etc.

• Strong understanding in technologies such as firewalls, backup storages, SIEM

• Administration experience with ITSM tools such as ServiceNow

• Scripting or coding skills in one or more general purpose languages (Python, PowerShell, etc.)

• Good technical knowledge in analyzing, troubleshooting, diagnostics & problem-solving skills

• Good knowledge in security controls and their integration and implementation with IT components and operations

• Experience of security auditing, best practice and compliance using disciplines such as ITIL, ISO27001, etc.

• Certification that supports the above experience and skills would be added advantages, E.g. MCSE, CCNA, ITIL, ITSM, CISSP, CISA, CISM, etc.
