Job Responsibilities
Pre-Sales Support & Solution Design
Act as the technical subject matter expert (SME) for DCIM solutions during sales engagements.
Gather customer requirements and conduct site surveys (if needed).
Design end-to-end DCIM solutions based on customer infrastructure (e.g. sensor layout, rack access, monitoring points).
Prepare technical proposals, solution diagrams, device list, and scope of work.
Participate in technical presentations, demos, and customer clarifications.
Technical Proposal & Tender Documentation
Develop technical content for RFQ/RFP responses and tender submissions.
Define system architecture, integration methods (SNMP, Modbus, NTP, etc.).
Provide estimated BOM, pricing input, project timelines, and resource needs.
Support handover from proposal to project delivery team.
DCIM System Deployment
Configure DCIM software (e.g., Eaton Brightlayer).
Commission sensors, PDUs, rack access systems, and network monitoring points.
Integrate DCIM platform with access control, VMS, or EMS/BMS systems.
Set up alerts, threshold profiles, dashboards, and user access rights.
System Integration & Troubleshooting
Ensure connectivity of all devices through IP assignment and protocol configuration.
Perform testing and validation (UAT/SAT) with internal and customer teams.
Troubleshoot connectivity or sensor-related issues and coordinate with vendors as required.
Post-Sales Support & Maintenance
Provide technical support for system enhancements, version upgrades, or device expansions.
Generate reports and recommendations for operational teams.
Maintain documentation (network maps, access control configurations, integration points).
Job Requirements
Diploma or Degree in Electrical Engineering, Information Technology, Computer Engineering, or Mechanical Engineering.
2-5 years in Data Centre Systems, IT/facilities integration, or technical pre-sales.
Strong background in DCIM platforms, environmental and power monitoring, and sensor-based systems
Hands-on experience in writing technical proposals, preparing BOMs, and designing technical solutions
Knowledge of system integration using SNMP, Modbus, API, BACnet, etc.
Proficiency with DCIM tools (e.g., Eaton DCPM, Schneider, Sunbird, etc).
Familiarity with rack-level access systems such as TROY-X Smart Rack Lock, power metering, and environmental sensors.
Strong understanding of IP networking and device communication protocols
Competency in Visio or CAD for creating layout drawings and architecture diagrams
Advanced skills in Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint, and technical documentation
Good knowledge of operating systems (Windows, Linux) for system monitoring and troubleshooting.
Experience in server and hardware deployment, virtual machine (VM) setup, and maintenance.
Clear communicator with ability to explain technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
Proactive and solution-oriented mindset.
Strong organizational and documentation skills
Comfortable working in a fast-paced, cross-functional environment.
Capable of handling both field work and office-based proposal tasks.
