Job Description
The Role: (Senior Accounts Executive/Accountant)
We’re looking for a Senior Accounts Executive/Accountant to handle accounts for Singapore entities. In this role, you will work closely with, and report directly to Financial Controller/CFO. You will be responsible for the following:
Oversee the day-to-day financial operations of the companies, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, budgeting, and cash flow management.
Ensure accurate and timely financial reporting in accordance with Singapore Finance Reporting Standards.
Lead and develop a team of financial staff, providing guidance, training in completing their daily tasks.
Develop and implement financial policies, procedures, and internal controls to safeguard company assets and maintain compliance.
Prepare and manage the month-end and year-end closing processes including submitting consol packages, ensuring all financial activities are completed accurately and on time.
Preparation of GST.
Monitor foreign exchange rates and perform treasury-related functions to support financial decision-making.
Coordinate and assist with external audits, tax filings, and other compliance requirements.
Stay updated on industry trends, regulatory changes, and best practices in financial management, and propose and implement improvements to enhance financial processes and controls.
Coordinate and liaise with external parties like auditors, tax agents, and corporate secretary.
Budgeting and cash flow management
Liaison with banker for financing matters
Review staff claim and non-trade payment
Must have a "can-do" approach and be able to drive change within the organization
Any other ad-hoc duties assigned by Financial Controller/CFO
Requirements:
Bachelor's degree or higher (CA / CPA / MBA a plus)
Proven experience in financial management, accounting, or a related role, with at least 5 years in a supervisory capacity.
Ability to work effectively in a team environment and collaborate with cross-functional teams.
Attention to detail and accuracy in financial reporting and analysis.
Strong problem-solving and decision-making skills.
Good knowledge of IFRS and experience of providing analysis of transactions, other events under IFRS
Experience of working on consolidation of group accounts preferred
Proficient in Microsoft Excel, Word and PowerPoint including Power Query and Power BI would be advantageous.
Confident, mature and be able to work in a fast-paced environment
Strengths in process design, diving deep, thinking big and a strong bias for action
Experience in SAP B1 systems would be advantageous
