ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Perform mechanical overhauling, reconditioning & repairs of 4-strokes and 2-strokes engine parts to keep engine operating at peak efficiency

• Able to repairs machines, overhauling machines and components.

• A fitter is a practical worker with knowledge of repairs and repairing.

• Assist the Foreman to complete the work scope within the time frame given.

• Must be able to manage time and coordinate all aspects of the job that is assigned by the foreman and /or Superior. This includes appropriate tools, equipment, and supplies required for troubleshooting and repairing the vessel mechanical equipment

• Operates and inspects completed work to determine repair success.

• Must execute all tasks with all prescribed safety equipment in place and person using applicable OSHA rules for themselves and the mechanical technicians.

• Any other tasks as and when assigned by manager / management.

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS AND SKILLS

• Technical / Professional:

• At least 2 years of Marine mechanical repair related experience

• Preferably with Sailing experience and with Seaman book

• At least 2 years of Marine Industry Knowledge & Experience
