You will oversee the day-to-day operation of the workshop, ensuring that all jobs are completed on time, within budget, and to required quality standards. This role involves managing a team of technicians, ensuring a safe working environment and maintaining equipment and tools.
Key Responsibilities :
Plan, supervise, and manage daily workshop operations to ensure efficiency, schedule adherence, and maximum productivity.
Monitor job progress and coordinate with technicians and vendors to avoid job delays and meet deadlines.
Optimize manpower allocation and scheduling for effective task
Maintain accurate records of workshop activities, including job cards/sheets, inventories, and work orders.
Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations through regular inspections and workplace organization.
Conduct audits to assess performance, identify improvements, and enhance workflow using management software and technology, including troubleshooting and resolving issues independently and collaboratively.
Maintain high customer satisfaction by delivering quality service, managing expectations, and resolving complaints. This includes reporting workshop performance metrics, such as job completion rates and productivity, to management.
Manage Parts procurement and Inventory
Manage logistics to ensure timely delivery
Issue PO and DO (including inspect incoming parts)
Collaborate with vendors to optimize procurement processes
Handle any additional tasks as assigned to support operations.
Requirements
Minimum Diploma with 3 years of relevant experience in managing workshop operations and inventory
Good planning and organisation skills
Process-driven, highly motivated and results-oriented
Possess a valid Class 3 driver’s licence
