Our family of preschools and services—including My First Skool, Little Skool-House, Outdoor School Singapore, and Bright Horizons Fund—supports young families and strengthens communities. Whether you’re shaping young minds, driving innovative educational practices, or supporting families, every role here offers the chance to make a genuine difference.

When you join us, you’ll find a supportive community and a dynamic environment that values your unique contributions and helps you realise your potential. Together, let’s enable bright futures for every child and family.

As a KidSTART Practitioner (KSP), you will play a key role in supporting low-income families with young children (0-6 years old) by delivering child development strategies through home visits. You’ll work closely with caregivers to enhance parent-child interactions, assess developmental progress, and collaborate with community partners to ensure holistic support for families.

Job Responsibilities:

  • Conduct regular home visits to guide and support caregivers in parenting, child development, and family well-being.

  • Build trusting relationships with families to encourage consistent participation and learning.

  • Assess and monitor children’s development and family needs through screenings and case planning.

  • Deliver the KidSTART curriculum to enhance parent-child interaction and developmental outcomes.

  • Collaborate with community agencies (e.g. preschools, FSCs, SSOs) for integrated family support.

  • Share insights and strategies with preschool teachers and principals to strengthen their understanding of child and family needs. Collaborate with CSS colleagues and other professionals involved in supporting the children to ensure a holistic approach to supporting KidSTART families.

  • Participate in team meetings, training, and multidisciplinary case discussions.

  • Ensure timely documentation, data submission, and adherence to programme fidelity to achieve Key Performance Indicator as indicated by KidSTART Singapore.

  • Take on additional duties as assigned by the Programme Head.

Job Requirements:

  • Degree in Social Work, Early Childhood Development, Psychology, Counselling
    or equivalent.

  • 2–3 years’ experience in early childhood or social services, preferably with low-income families.

  • Strong interpersonal, communication, and assessment skills.

  • Passionate, empathetic, and committed to family empowerment.

  • Reflective, adaptable, and open to learning in a dynamic environment.

  • Willing to work occasionally on weekday evenings and weekends.
