Responsibilities:

• Manage and process all requests related to GHS internally as well as externally from authorities and customers.

• Ensure compliance with GHS regulations in particular written hazard communication programme and support compliance to related GB standards including Hazardous Substances Catalogue.

• Responsible for the design of correct GHS labels in coordination with the IT department and implementation of labelling in accordance with requirements.

• Monitor regulatory upcoming changes and ensure timely updates to documentation and processes to local stakeholders and HQ Product Safety team.

• Collaborate with various departments in R&D, Operations, Sales and Safety teams as well as HQ Product Safety team to ensure GHS safety compliance from development to distribution.

• Review suppliers’ SDS and related technical documents for compliance with regulatory and organisation requirements.

• Provide training and guidance to internal teams on chemical safety and regulatory requirements.

Requirements:

• Bachelor’s degree in Chemistry, Industry Chemistry or a related field.

• Minimum 5 years of experience in product safety, regulatory affairs, or chemical compliance, preferably in the flavourings manufacturing industry.

• In-depth knowledge of regional GHS regulations, SDS and chemical labeling requirements.

• Knowledge in chemical, food additives, flavour legislation would be of advantage.

• IATA DGR trained and certified
