Senior Field Service Engineer

We are seeking a dedicated Senior Field Service Engineer to carry out maintenance, troubleshooting, and commissioning for power generation and related systems. You’ll play a key role in ensuring smooth operations across sites, including client-facing service delivery, technical support, and hands-on repairs of diesel and gas generators.

Key Responsibilities:

• Perform routine servicing, troubleshooting, and repair of diesel/gas generators, switchboards, and control panels

• Handle testing and commissioning for newly installed equipment

• Carry out on-site diagnostics and propose rectification solutions

• Respond to breakdowns and urgent service calls

• Assist with engine overhauls, load testing, system upgrades, and retrofits

• Interpret electrical diagrams, perform wiring, and conduct control system checks

• Coordinate with project and workshop teams to plan and execute service jobs

• Prepare accurate service and technical reports

• Maintain a high standard of safety and compliance during all field activities

• Build rapport with clients and provide responsive, professional support

Requirements:

• Diploma or equivalent in Electrical, Mechanical, or Mechatronics Engineering

• At least 5 years of experience in servicing diesel or gas generator sets

• Strong knowledge in generator systems, electrical troubleshooting, and engine components

• Able to read electrical and mechanical diagrams

• Experience in FAT/SAT, commissioning, and site testing is advantageous

• Hands-on, solution-oriented, and customer-focused

• Willing to travel locally and regionally for service assignments
