Job Description
As a WSH Manager, you will lead the site’s safety, health, and environmental (SHE) functions to ensure full compliance with local regulatory requirements and company policies. You will be responsible for implementing and maintaining the Workplace Safety & Health Management System (WSHMS), overseeing all safety operations on-site, and driving safety culture across the project team and subcontractors.
Key Responsibilities
Lead and manage all WSH matters at the project site in compliance with the WSH Act and relevant regulations.
Develop, implement, and maintain the site-specific WSHMS, including risk assessments, safe work procedures, and emergency response plans.
Conduct regular site inspections, audits, and safety meetings to monitor and improve workplace safety performance.
Coordinate and liaise with clients, consultants, authorities (e.g., MOM, NEA), and subcontractors on safety-related issues.
Investigate incidents/accidents and implement corrective/preventive actions.
Organize safety induction programs, toolbox meetings, and safety awareness campaigns.
Ensure full compliance with ISO, ConSASS, and other audit requirements.
Maintain up-to-date records for inspections, permits, incidents, and safety training.
Lead the implementation of environmental controls and ECM measures, especially on earthworks and noise/dust/vibration compliance.
Requirements
Minimum 3 to 5 years of relevant experience in the construction industry, preferably in building projects (HDB/private/commercial).
MOM-registered WSH Officer (WSHO).
Must hold valid certifications as:
Environmental Control Officer (ECO)
Earth Control Measures Officer (ECMO)
Strong knowledge of local regulatory frameworks and audit requirements.
Good leadership, communication, and coordination skills.
Able to work independently and manage multiple safety tasks on-site.
