As Deputy Group Financial Controller at Certis Group, you will assume a pivotal finance leadership role, supporting the Group Financial Controller (GFC). This strategic position involves close collaboration with the Group CFO, Board of Directors, Group Chief Executive Officer, and senior leadership team.
You will oversee the Group Finance function, playing a key role in shaping the financial strategy, governance, and operational effectiveness across the organisation. You will lead group-wide initiatives in financial reporting, compliance, tax, treasury, cash flow management, and internal controls, while acting as a trusted business partner to board-level stakeholders.
Key Responsibilities
Group Financial Leadership:
Lead the full suite of financial management activities including group consolidation, planning, budgeting, forecasting, and financial analysis, ensuring sound financial governance and alignment with strategic objectives.Strategic Finance Partnering:
Provide commercial insights and high-quality financial advice to the Board and senior management, enabling informed decision-making and driving business performance.Compliance and Risk Management:
Ensure full compliance with financial reporting standards, tax regulations, internal policies, and statutory requirements. Maintain robust internal controls and risk management frameworks.Financial Reporting & Analysis:
Deliver timely and accurate monthly, quarterly, and annual group financial reports. Prepare value-added board-level presentations covering profit and loss, balance sheet, and cash flow metrics.Audit & Assurance:
Manage and coordinate all internal and external audit activities, ensuring clear audit trails and addressing findings proactively.Treasury & Cash Flow Management:
Oversee group cash flow and liquidity planning. Manage banking relationships and ensure efficient treasury operations.Process Improvement & Automation:
Lead finance transformation and continuous improvement initiatives, including automation of processes to drive operational efficiency and data integrity.Mergers & Acquisitions Support:
Support M&A due diligence, integration planning, and financial onboarding of acquired entities. Drive value realisation from strategic deals.Team Leadership:
Inspire, develop, and lead high-performing finance teams across the Group. Drive a culture of accountability, excellence, and collaboration.
Requirements
Chartered Accountant (CA), ACCA, or CPA qualification required with 12–15 years’ relevant experience, including at least 5 years in senior finance leadership within complex organisations.
Strong expertise in financial reporting standards (IFRS/local GAAP), corporate finance, tax, treasury, and compliance.
Proficient in group consolidation and performance reporting across multiple business entities.
Hands-on experience with SAP or similar ERP systems is highly advantageous.
Proven commercial acumen and ability to influence senior executives on strategy and financial outcomes.
