Join the Regional New Product Development (NPD) team and gain hands-on experience supporting the creation and launch of innovative skincare products for two leading mass market skincare brands in Singapore, Bio-essence and Derma Lab. This internship provides an immersive opportunity to participate in the full product development cycle, collaborate with teams across Asia, and understand how regional insights shape successful product launches in the industry.

Key Responsibilities

  • Assist in coordinating product development projects for Bio-essence and Derma Lab, from concept to launch, ensuring effective communication and follow-up with internal teams and external partners.

  • Liaise with regional counterparts in various countries to gather market insights, consumer needs, and local requirements for new products.

  • Support market research and competitor analysis to help identify opportunities for new product ideas and regional adaptation.

  • Participate in brainstorming and project meetings to contribute ideas for product positioning, innovation, and go-to-market strategies.

  • Work closely with local branding teams to ensure product messaging, artwork, and launch materials are consistent and relevant for each market.

  • Collaborate with the R&D team and suppliers to track product formulation, packaging, and production timelines.

  • Work comfortably with data (e.g., market research, sales, or consumer feedback) to generate actionable insights and support decision-making throughout the product development process.

  • Assist in preparing and adapting product information, presentations, and reports for internal and regional stakeholders.

  • Help resolve ad hoc issues related to packaging, quality, or supply chain by coordinating with the relevant teams.

  • Develop cross-cultural communication skills by working with teams in multiple Asian markets. Gain exposure to how consumer insights, R&D, and branding come together to drive product innovation.

  • Build project management, data analysis, and organizational skills in a dynamic FMCG environment.

Requirements

  • Undergraduate in Business or Marketing from a recognized institution is preferred but not a requirement

  • Strong interest in the skincare or personal care industry.

  • Strong communication skills in English; proficiency in Chinese is a plus but not a requirement, for regional coordination and material adaptation.

  • Detail-oriented, organized, and proactive in managing tasks and timelines. Comfortable collaborating with diverse teams and adapting to a fast-paced environment.

  • Eager to learn and contribute ideas in a team setting. Comfortable working with data to provide insights for product and market decisions.

  • Prior internship or project experience in product development, consumer research, or related areas is an advantage but not required.
