Field Service/Manufacturing Engineer - #1103852

The incumbent needs to be a versatile individual who can seamlessly transition between providing hands-on technical support to customers and contributing to the optimization of the manufacturing process. He needs to plan and improve the manufacturing processes. He identifies areas for improvement, maintains high level of manufacturing and product quality as well as to ensure cost efficiency and conformance with regulatory standards.

Roles and Responsibilities

Field service and application support

•            Build, test and commissioning of electromechanical equipment (product) and its related sub components.

•            Provide guidance and support to customers on equipment operation, maintenance, and troubleshooting.

Manufacturing

•            Production planning to ensure smooth production.

•            Support product transfers from R&D to Production.

•            Troubleshoot and improve productivity, workflow and effectiveness at production.

•            Prepare documents and reports as required by the production.

•            Operate and maintain facility equipment.

•            Manage vendors/suppliers to ensure strong and cost-effective support to factory operations.

•            Participate and improve company-wide Environment, Health & Safety.

•            Perform other ad-hoc duties as assigned.

Qualifications

Degree or Diploma in Mechanical / Electronics / Electromechanical / Electrical or equivalent

Job Requirements/ Special Skill sets

•            Singapore citizens only.

•            At least 1-2 years of relevant experience.

•            Eager learner, responsible, self-motivated, team-player.

•            Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.

•            Good communication skills and able to relate with people of all levels (both written and spoken).

•            Able to work independently and multi-task with minimum supervision.

•            Good time management.

•            Able to travel overseas (short stay) for work.

•            Comfortable communicating in English.

•            Proficient in Mandarin and written Chinese (to communicate with Chinese counterparts).

•            Proficient in Microsoft Office applications.
