Job Scope:
The Procurement Manager plays a pivotal role in the efficient and cost-effective operation of our commercial cleaning company. They are responsible for overseeing all procurement activities to ensure the timely and reliable sourcing of supplies and services required for our cleaning operations. The Procurement Manager needs to collaborate closely with various departments within the organization.
Strategic Sourcing: Develop and implement procurement strategies that align with the company's goals and objectives. Identify reliable suppliers and negotiate favorable terms and contracts.
Supplier Management: Maintain strong relationships with suppliers and regularly evaluate their performance. Monitor supplier compliance with contracts and quality standards.
Cost Optimization: Analyze and control procurement costs to achieve budgetary goals while maintaining quality standards. Identify opportunities for cost reduction and process improvement.
Inventory Management: Oversee inventory levels to ensure adequate supplies are available for cleaning operations while minimizing excess stock. Implement inventory control measures to reduce waste and inventory carrying costs.
Market Research: Stay informed about market trends, new products, and innovations in the cleaning industry. Provide recommendations for the adoption of new technologies or products that could improve efficiency or effectiveness.
Quality Assurance: Collaborate with the Quality Control team to ensure that procured materials and equipment meet the required quality standards. Address any quality issues with suppliers promptly.
Contract Negotiation: Negotiate contracts and agreements with suppliers, including terms and conditions, pricing, and delivery schedules. Ensure that contracts are favorable to the company and compliant with legal requirements.
Compliance: Stay updated on relevant regulations and industry standards related to procurement, safety, and environmental compliance. Ensure that all procurement activities adhere to legal and ethical standards.
Budget Management: Develop and manage the procurement budget, tracking expenses and variances. Provide regular financial reports to management.
Team Management: Supervise and mentor procurement staff, if applicable. Foster a collaborative and productive work environment.
Documentation: Maintain accurate records of procurement transactions, contracts, and supplier information. Ensure that all documentation is organized and easily accessible.
Reporting: Generate regular reports on procurement performance, cost savings, and key performance indicators for management review.
Qualifications:
Preferably 3 years of experience in the relevant industry.
Knowledgeable in cleaning materials, chemicals, machineries, and cleaning robots.
Proven experience as a Procurement Manager or in a similar role within the cleaning industry or related field.
Strong negotiation and communication skills.
Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities.
Knowledge of procurement software and tools.
Familiarity with regulatory requirements and ethical procurement practices.
Leadership and team management skills.
Detail-oriented with the ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
Strong organizational and time-management skills.
