Job Brief
Ensure facilities in Central Offices, Core Network Nodes, Regional Network Nodes, any power substations and commercial leased DC where the company houses our/customer equipment/systems are all in highly healthy condition, properly secured, maintained and serviced to give the optimum performance so that SPTel will deliver to our customers an operational ready network that is at all times meeting budget requirement to achieve highest possible customers satisfaction.
Provide solutioning and engineering support for SPTel SMART Facility product that is purposed fit for the delivery of secured, AI analytically enabled and highly reliable racks in our CII and commercial leased locations.
Responsibilities:
Lead, manage and be responsible for maintaining facilities in Central Offices, Core Network Nodes, Regional Network Nodes to achieve high reliability, availability, security and operational requirement for various FM systems including AC & DC power equipment, PDU, UPS, Switches, GENSETs, Fire Alarm system, FM200, Air-con units etc
Lead a team to provide support to all network installation to ensure timely delivery and quality of network in term of the power resource allocation, cable routing plan etc within the facilities for internal and external use and consumption
Review and execute Access Management Policy for both internal staff and external vendor
Hold the relationship with our Power Asset provider and be responsible to acquire the necessary Power Asset such as the surplus power substations space answering to the company business need
Hold the relationship with our Power Asset provider and be responsible for the assess to such asset acquired following the rules agreed.
Hold relation with commercial leased DC/buildings for facilitating setting up and maintenance of SPTel facilities and networks
Collaborate with Planning and Operation teams to manage timeliness and accuracy of implementing network and services for internal and external parties
Manage and plan for space allocation to maximize the usage of floor space in all the facilities
Evaluate tender proposal for new projects and facilities for new CO, CNN, RNN, Cable Landing stations, Substation used for MEC/IoT, Substation used by other Telco for housing other Telco equipment/systems
Develop new SOPs and review existing SOPs to ensure continuous service improvement and stability of the M&E systems supporting the internal and external customers
Negotiate contract with vendor to achieve the best for SPTel
Engineering support for SMART facility product
Solutioning support for SMART facility product
Mentor other junior leaders in the team
Any other ad-hoc duties as assigned by superior from time to time.
Role Requirements:
Degree holder in Electrical Engineering or equivalent
Minimum 10 years’ experience in ICT including 5 years prior network facilities management or Data Centre facility management
Minimum 5 years managerial experience
Extensive technical knowledge of M&E stuff
Skilled in M&E management systems and fault resolution
Skilled in physical security management and systems
Skilled in managing customer and network for the scope stated
Ability to deliver sustained high performance and high levels of customer satisfaction
Analytical thinker, Metrics Driven
Excellent verbal, written and presentation skills to effectively translate and communicate complex technical information and risk to all levels of internal and external organizations
Strong problem-solving skills, critical thinking, excellent analytical ability
Ability to communicate both verbally and in writing in a clear and concise manner
Work well under pressure with differing levels of Management
Ability to maintain confidential information and communications
Proficient in data reporting and analysis
