Our client is seeking a Director / Assistant Director (TechOps) to join their team!

Join our client's team as a Director / Assistant Director (TechOps) and drive excellence in network management, incident resolution, and customer service. This role offers an exciting opportunity to showcase your leadership skills and technical expertise while making a significant impact on network operations and customer satisfaction.

What you'll be doing?

  • Lead the TechOps team: Guide and manage a team of skilled engineers, fostering a culture of excellence and continuous improvement.

  • Manage critical processes: Oversee Incident Management and Problem Management processes, ensuring swift resolution and adherence to SLAs.

  • Provide 24/7 support: Serve as a key escalation contact, demonstrating your commitment to resolving critical issues around the clock.

  • Drive network improvements: Conduct trending analysis, identify gaps, and recommend strategic changes to enhance network performance and reliability.

  • Enhance service quality: Lead incident reviews and implement improvement strategies to reduce fault cases and elevate customer satisfaction.

  • Collaborate with vendors: Manage relationships with external partners to ensure timely resolution of fault tickets and effective maintenance.

  • Optimize resources: Oversee department budget and forecast expenditures, ensuring efficient allocation of resources.

Who are they looking for?

  • Educational background: Degree or Diploma in Engineering or equivalent, demonstrating a strong foundation in technical knowledge.

  • Leadership experience: 7-10 years of leadership and technical support experience in a Telco Technical Tier 3 environment, showcasing your ability to guide teams and handle complex technical challenges.

  • Technical expertise: Proficiency in Fibre, Carrier IP, Transport Networks, Metro-E, IPVPN, DWDM, IoT, Private Cloud, and cyber-security services, enabling you to navigate diverse technological landscapes.

  • Forward-thinking mindset: Stay current with industry trends and best practices, driving innovation within the organization.

  • Cloud proficiency: Strong understanding of Public and Hybrid Cloud configurations across various platforms.

  • Networking knowledge: Expertise in networking technologies, including routers, switches, and TCP/IP.

  • Platform versatility: Experience with diverse platform technologies such as Windows, Linux, VMware, and MacOS.

  • Security acumen: Familiarity with various security technologies, including IDS, IPS, FW, AV, Proxies, DLP, PKI, SSL/TLS, SSL visibility, and VPN.

  • Analytical skills: Proficiency in OSS platforms and Network Management Systems (NMS) for effective problem-solving and optimization.

  • Communication prowess: Excellent communication skills and a pleasant personality, crucial for providing outstanding customer service.

  • Flexibility: Willingness to be contactable 24/7 to address critical issues and ensure smooth operations.
