They are looking for an EHS Assistant Manager, the ideal candidate is a WSHO and ECO-certified EHS professional with experience in the construction industry. They possess strong knowledge of local EHS regulations, proven skills in incident investigation, audits, and risk management. The Job
- Develop and Implement EHS Policies: Assist in formulating, executing, and monitoring Environmental, Health & Safety (EHS) policies, procedures, and site-specific safety plans in compliance with regulatory and corporate standards.
- Ensure Compliance Across Project Sites: Collaborate with project teams, site staff, subcontractors, and authorities to ensure all safety protocols and regulations are consistently followed.
- Conduct Site Inspections and Risk Assessments: Carry out regular site safety inspections, audits, and risk evaluations; track and enforce corrective and preventive measures where required.
- Lead Incident Investigations: Participate in incident and accident investigations, perform root cause analysis, and prepare detailed reports with follow-up actions.
- Promote Safety Culture: Facilitate toolbox meetings, safety inductions, and EHS training sessions to raise awareness and instill a proactive safety culture.
- Maintain EHS Documentation and Reporting: Manage accurate records for permits, licenses, and certifications; support senior management with monthly reports, KPIs, and review materials.
The Talent
- Bachelor's Degree in Environmental, Health & Safety, Engineering, or a related discipline.
- Registered WSH Officer (WSHO) and Environmental Control Officer (ECO) with a minimum of 5 years' EHS experience, ideally in a main construction firm.
- Well-versed in local EHS legislation, construction safety standards, audit protocols, and environmental compliance requirements.
- Strong ability to lead, communicate, and engage with diverse stakeholders including project teams, site personnel, and external parties.
- Mandarin-speaking ability is an advantage for liaising with Chinese-speaking associates.
