The role

As a Process Design Engineer at MattenPlant Pte Ltd, you will play a crucial role in shaping the future of water and wastewater treatment systems. You will be responsible for designing and optimising innovative processes that drive efficiency, sustainability, and environmental stewardship for various industries.

Key responsibilities

1. Contribute to the design of cutting-edge water and wastewater treatment systems throughout the tendering and project stages, leveraging your expertise to drive impactful change.

2. Prepare meticulous documents and drawings, including Flow diagrams, GA, and technical specifications for projects bidding, ensuring precision and adherence to standards.

3. Assess engineering requirements meticulously, from equipment sizing and material selection to piping specifications, ensuring optimal process functionality.

4. Collaborate seamlessly within a team to craft compelling commercial and technical submissions for tenders and proposals, engaging with clients and suppliers to deliver outstanding results.

5. Facilitate technical discussions and clarifications with stakeholders, fostering effective communication and alignment.

6. Lead detailed engineering efforts for secured projects, crafting comprehensive plans encompassing PFD, PID, technical specifications, process descriptions, and control philosophy.

7. Contribute to testing and commissioning activities, ensuring project success and client satisfaction.

8. Support the preparation of operation and maintenance manuals, ensuring seamless project handover and continued excellence.

What we're looking for

1. Diploma or Degree in Chemical Engineering or Environmental Science or a related field.

2. Minimum 3-5 years of experience in process design for wastewater industries. Senior positions available for candidates with extensive experience.

3. Demonstrated proficiency in Aerobic/Anerobic processes, membrane technology (UF, MBR), and sludge handling applications in water/wastewater treatment.

4. Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.

5. Excellent communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work independently and effectively in a multi-disciplinary team

6. A keen interest in sustainability and a commitment to environmental preservation.

7. Immediate starter or short notice preferred.
